Overnight Coverage Lead

As an Overnight Coverage Lead at H-E-B, you'll support Store leadership by providing primary overnight coverage and monitoring Partners, departments, and total-Store safety and sanitation standards. Key responsibilities include store lead operations, customer service, compliance, sanitation, and safety. You will connect with overnight Partners throughout the Store, maintain store conditions, oversee product handling, assist with receiving inventory, and ensure successful communication of overnight operations to daytime leaders.

You will also assist with customer complaints, ensure point of sale transactions are processed, and oversee cleaning and sanitizing of sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment. You will manage facility and equipment maintenance, execute emergency management procedures, and confirm compliance with sanitation SOPs and guidelines. You will comply with SOPs related to security, receiving, and safety, and oversee compliance with federal, state, and H-E-B regulations for product freshness, food safety, refrigeration, sanitation.

You will perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications and key requirements include being 18+ years old, having 6+ months of related experience, experience leading or supporting an overnight team, knowledge of department production stations, problem-solving and decision-making skills, interpersonal skills, ability to read and interpret documents, ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to communicate effectively with customers and groups of Partners, ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, ability to support large groups of Partners, and completion of forklift/power jack training.

Physical demands include constantly walking, reaching at waist, grasping, occasionally standing, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder, reaching at knee, reaching at floor, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, pivoting, twisting, pushing/pulling with arms, pinching, performing fine motor movements, and being exposed to cold/hot, ambient temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions. The ability to lift 85 lbs and manage in excess of 85 lbs is required.
