Job Description

As an Account Manager, you will be the strategic owner of client accounts, ensuring long‑term success and revenue growth. You will serve as a consultative advisor, building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding the account through cross‑selling and upselling. You are expected to identify opportunities within existing accounts, ensuring DTN’s solutions continue to meet evolving customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Ownership & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, maintain a deep understanding of client needs and challenges, provide proactive recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Sales Growth, Cross‑Selling & Upselling: Identify needs for additional DTN expertise, uncover cross‑selling and upselling opportunities, conduct regular business reviews, strategically introduce new products and services, collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams, and negotiate contract renewals above a set threshold.
  • Hunt For Additional Opportunities: Continuously analyze accounts for new business opportunities, identify potential referrals and partnerships, work alongside Account Executives to develop strategic growth plans, and stay ahead of industry trends.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5 years of experience in software and/or SaaS sales
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, consultative sales, or B2B client relations
  • Strong understanding of the energy and refined fuels sector
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth through cross‑selling and upselling
  • Self‑motivated with a strategic mindset and proactive approach to account management
  • Proficiency in SFDC software for tracking leads and managing pipelines
  • A consultative and professional approach to engaging with customers
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances

Pay Information

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $81,000 and $108,000. Total estimated on‑target earnings will be $160–215k. DTN is a pay‑for‑performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws.

The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market‑competitive variable pay and benefits.
