DBGorilla is building enterprise-grade AI powered database solutions for modern technical teams. Our founders have multiple successful exits in the DBaaS and infrastructure space.
About DBGorillaWe are in the earliest stage of building our revenue engine, with paying pilot customers and strong founder-led pipeline momentum. We are hiring our first dedicated sales lead to convert early traction into scalable, repeatable revenue.
This is a foundational hire with significant growth potential.
The RoleWe are looking for a hands‑on seller who can close meaningful deals and bring structure, discipline, and accountability to our sales motion.
You will work directly with the founders, who actively support early conversations, while you take full ownership of:
- Forecasting accuracy
- Deal progression
This is a quota-carrying, individual contributor role with a clear path to broader sales leadership as we scale.
What You’ll Own Revenue & Performance- Deliver $1M+ in ARR in year one
- Close 10–15 deals annually ($30K–$100K ACV)
- Own the full sales cycle from discovery through close
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes
- Convert paid pilots into production deployments and expansion
- Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and forecasting accuracy
- Build and manage a predictable pipeline
- Generate pipeline through targeted outbound and strategic account development
- Establish clear stages, qualification standards, and exit criteria
- Partner with the founders on strategic accounts
- Refine ICP, messaging, pricing, and qualification
- Build and iterate the early sales playbook
- Capture structured market feedback to inform product direction
- 7–10+ years of B2B sales experience
- Proven success closing $30K–$100K+ ACV technical or complex deals
- Experience navigating multi‑stakeholder buying cycles
- Strong pipeline discipline and forecasting credibility
- Ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close independently
- High ownership mindset and comfort operating in early‑stage environments
- Strong communication skills with executive and technical stakeholders
- Experience selling databases, infrastructure, developer tools, or adjacent technical solutions
- Early‑stage or first sales hire experience
- Salary - Based on candidate experience and qualifications. It includes base salary plus commission.
- Pay Range: $70,000 - $125,000 (excluding commissions)
