Account Manager, Client Relationship Manager
The Branch Manager is responsible for driving sales and leading a team of outside account representatives to promote growth within a large defined territory. The role involves creating business and territory plans, analyzing sales pipelines, ensuring a high level of customer service, generating sales individually and through team leadership, and hiring, coaching, and training direct reports.
Job Duties- Lead a team of outside account representatives to promote and sell products and services within a defined geography.
- Analyze sales pipelines and maintain an array of opportunities to achieve sales goals.
- Develop and implement an annual business plan supporting attainment of quota and market share growth, with updates monthly or quarterly.
- Create a holistic territory plan and manage the net new sales process from prospecting to close.
- Own prospecting strategy, forecasting, funnel development and management, territory development, and close deals within assigned geography.
- Ensure a high level of customer service, including onsite technical assistance and resolution of delivery and troubleshooting issues.
- Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with key-buying influences at all levels within customer organizations.
- Identify and solicit new business and assign accounts to appropriate representatives.
- Hire, evaluate performance, coach, and train employees.
- Review financial package monthly with the Operations Manager to ensure branch meets profit goals.
- Typically responsible for at least three branches or over 30 employees or a large geographic area or similar criteria.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requires a bachelor’s degree and more than five years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- Persuasive communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Specialty product knowledge from previous outside or inside sales experience.
- Proficiency in consultative selling principles and practices.
- Exceptional drive and passion for results.
- Strong client service relationship-building skills.
- Negotiation and closing proficiency.
- Ability to coach and provide feedback to direct reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
May require on‑call nights or weekends, depending on need.
Licenses & CertificationsExcellent driving record required. All company vehicles are subject to continuous video monitoring.
