Sales Engineer, Technical Sales

The RoleAs a Solutions Consultant at 6sense, you’ll be an instrumental player in driving customer growth and shaping our solutions consulting organization. You’ll collaborate with strategic sellers, understand customer pain points, and deliver data‑driven insights that predict buying behavior for enterprise accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Actively partner with strategic sellers on account strategy, stakeholder management and opportunity planning for large enterprises.
- Communicate in the customer’s language to clearly explain the value 6sense delivers.
- Manage RFI/RFPs, presentations and demos, ensuring tight deadlines are met.
- Demonstrate technical expertise and speak to how 6sense drives success through integrations with marketing and sales technology stacks such as Adobe, Drift, Marketo, Eloqua, Sales Loft and Outreach.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with leaders and executives across targeted accounts.
- Drive outcomes in a customer‑facing environment throughout the sales lifecycle.
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role (sales engineer, solutions consultant) with a broad technical background in B2B marketing and sales tech.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical and functional capabilities to both marketing and sales audiences.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, able to juggle competing priorities and work with multiple strategic customers.
- Experience working in the sales lifecycle and driving outcomes in a customer‑facing environment.
- Experience building and executing account plans spanning multiple business units across complex organizations.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- 4–6 years in a sales engineer or solutions consulting role.
- Strong knowledge of marketing and sales tech ecosystem, including web analytics, content management, sales engagement, marketing automation and CRM.
- Deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles and engagement.
- Ability to manage RFI/RFPs with tight deadlines.
- Experience working directly with product and engineering.
- Experience building content and documentation.
- Experience selling to Enterprise CMOs, VPs of Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, and Sales leaders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced team environment.
Base Salary Range: $126,945 – $172,186. The range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. Compensation may vary based on location and experience.
The base salary is one component of 6sense’s total compensation package, which may also include bonuses, commission plans and stock options. 6sense provides generous health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) employer matching program, paid holidays, self‑care days and paid time off (PTO).
