Position Overview

As the RFID Transponder Sales Manager for the Identification Technologies (IDT) Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, part of HID Global, you will be responsible for driving revenue and market growth in the Texas region with a strong focus on expanding the passive RFID business in the oil and gas market. You will sell directly to OEMs and through system integrators, distributors, and reseller partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire new customers and expand the existing customer base in the Texas oil and gas market.
  • Identify and understand customer requirements during the pre‑sales process and educate customers on HID solutions.
  • Manage the entire sales process—from prospecting and initial outreach to recommending product solutions and securing design‑in commitments—while collaborating with product management and engineering.
  • Work with sales and marketing leadership to plan and execute marketing and sales campaigns that build brand awareness and support business growth.
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and partner events.
  • Complete forecasts and revenue reporting within scheduled deadlines.
  • Build and maintain a project pipeline to support long‑term ISC business growth.
  • Act as an industry expert on emerging market trends and coordinate with product management on potential new product opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Technical education or training, or a strong affinity for technical products.
  • Deep understanding of the oil and gas upstream market in the NAM region.
  • Knowledge of RFID technologies is helpful but not required.
  • Several years of sales experience, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels (Engineering, Procurement, C‑Suite).
  • Passion for sales and component selling, comfortable with cold calling and remote selling, and using social media for lead generation.
  • Strong experience in hunting, cold outreach, and closing new customers.
