Job Description
This is not your typical entry-level sales role — it’s a launchpad for a customer acquisition journey at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Customer Acquisition Representative (CAR), you will accelerate pipeline growth, identify whitespace opportunities with cutting‑edge AI tools, and help new and existing customers discover the value of AWS technology.
Key Responsibilities- Partner closely with Account Teams to build deep industry and account knowledge, developing relationships from technical admins to Line of Business executives.
- Lead top‑of‑funnel activities: conduct high‑quality account research, source net‑new contacts at scale, and execute high‑volume prospecting, lead qualification, and opportunity generation.
- Drive net‑new business via customer acquisition by running one‑to‑one and one‑to‑many outbound campaigns and qualifying leads from marketing and partner channels.
- Expand services breadth and consumption within the existing customer base through account planning and territory management.
- Deliver results against input and output goals, including contacts sourced, leads qualified, customer calls completed, meetings scheduled, and opportunities created and launched.
- Leverage AI‑powered sales intelligence platforms, predictive analytics, and automation tools to identify high‑propensity accounts and optimize pipeline development in Salesforce.
- Apply next‑generation engagement strategies using generative AI, agentic workflows, and advanced personalization engines to continuously test and iterate new approaches to reach unengaged accounts.
- Collaborate with teammates to share best practices, contribute to team learning, and collectively raise the bar for customer engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or customer‑facing roles (internships and non‑traditional experience count).
- 1+ year of experience in technology sales, SaaS, or cloud services.
- Experience with outbound prospecting tools and techniques (cold calling, social selling, email sequencing).
- Experience leveraging or interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance sales workflows, research, and outreach.
Base hourly rate: $31.00 – $54.00 USD (Austin, TX). In addition to base pay, the compensation package may include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives.
