About the Role

As an Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Auctane, you will be on the front lines of driving new business. This highly outbound‑focused role requires you to actively engage prospects through high‑volume cold‑calling, targeted emailing, and social media outreach. Your main responsibility is to identify, qualify, and nurture leads into sales‑ready opportunities, ensuring you pass only the most promising prospects to our sales team.

The position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and located in Austin, Texas.

Travel Requirements

Less than 5% travel (may be required for company events or team meet‑ups).

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Heavy Outbound Prospecting: consistently generate new opportunities through high‑volume outbound calls, personalized emails, and social media outreach.
  • Qualify and Develop Leads: uncover pain points and needs, guiding prospects to a clear understanding of how our solutions can help them.
  • Overcome Objections: manage and overcome common sales objections with ease, keeping the conversation focused on value and next steps.
  • Create Interest and Build Rapport: develop rapport quickly with decision‑makers through engaging, consultative conversations across multiple channels (phone, email, Linked In).
  • Targeted Research: conduct thorough research on accounts and prospects to identify the right decision‑makers and potential opportunities.
  • Document Sales

    Activities:

    capture accurately all lead interactions in Salesforce and Salesloft.
  • Meet Key Metrics: consistently meet or exceed key metrics, including monthly and quarterly new opportunity generation, call volume, email outreach, and pipeline goals.
  • Collaboration:

    work closely with account executives and sales managers to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.

  • Outbound‑Driven: experience with heavy outbound sales calls and a passion for initiating conversations and building new relationships.
  • Communication Excellence: strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
  • Qualifying

    Skills:

    expertise in identifying qualified leads and determining whether prospects are the right fit for our product.
  • Goal‑Oriented & Results‑Driven: demonstrated ability to exceed quotas and thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
  • Resilience & Persistence: comfortable handling rejection and moving on to the next opportunity with renewed energy.
  • Tech‑Savvy: experience with CRMs (Salesforce preferred) and sales engagement tools like Salesloft or Outreach.
  • Team Player: ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and share insights to continually improve the outbound process.
What Will Make You Stand Out?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience as an SDR, BDR, or in a similar outbound sales development role.
  • Previous experience in a SaaS or tech sales environment.
