Role Overview

The Costa Regional Sales Manager (RSM) leads a team of Eyewear sales consultants (reps) in meeting sales goals within the Regional Channel, developing business potential, and driving brand awareness.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works closely with the Sales Director and other Sales Manager partners in achieving top line growth and financial targets through sales team and brand strategies.
  • Sets quarterly targets and mentors the team to reach sales and financial goals.
  • Delivers results through effective co-traveling on a quarterly basis, coaching, management and mentoring of sales consultants.
  • Coaches Eyewear Sales Consultants for success and builds upon their selling skills.
  • Prepares consistent communication with the brand team on weekly calls and strategy meetings to align corporate brand priorities, field strategy, and commercial tactics.
  • Acts as a Brand Ambassador, providing feedback on product assortment, brand strategies, marketing materials, and commercial programs.
  • Collaborates with sales counterparts (e.g., other brand divisions, Essilor) to deliver synergy programs.
  • Ensures overall portfolio strategy, messaging and priorities are cascaded to the sales team.
  • Partners with the RSD on brand priorities to close quarterly gaps and maximize opportunities.
  • Provides RSD with weekly verbal/written recaps of team coaching and co-traveling.
  • Supports the sales force in coordinating market events and brand activities.
  • Manages all aspects of sales team people management including hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, and engagement.
  • Supports the team in executing brand training for customers through local events.
  • Supports Sales Consultants in addressing broader Luxottica portfolio issues.
  • Provides support and attends local trade and industry events.
  • Requires significant travel within the assigned region (up to 80% of time).
Basic Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree in Sales/Business or similar.
  • Minimum 8+ years of wholesale sales experience, preferably in the optical industry.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to rapidly generate and implement creative solutions to problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • 50% travel.
