As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will support our sales team by generating meetings and creating pipeline by identifying and engaging key prospects. You’ll generate pipeline through a mix of inbound lead follow‑up, outbound to assigned target accounts, and self‑sourced prospecting, crafting a clear point of view for why Tiger Data is a great fit. This is a phone‑forward, outbound‑first culture where cold calling is a core part of how we win.
Responsibilities- Convert inbound leads and qualify “in‑market” opportunities.
- Prospect into assigned target accounts and self‑source new opportunities.
- Cold call regularly and run multichannel outreach (calls, email, Linked In).
- Meet activity expectations of 80–100+ calls a day and source 60–75 new contacts per week.
- Research accounts, identify the right buyers, and tailor messaging.
- Build sequences that create urgency and drive replies.
- Develop a clear account POV (why now, why Tiger Data, why it matters) and earn meetings.
- Partner with AEs to align on account strategy, messaging, and next steps.
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking in Salesforce and related tools.
- Attend industry conferences and events as needed.
- Self‑motivated self‑starter with a history of hitting ambitious targets.
- Grit and resilience: staying consistent through rejection, learning fast, and iterating quickly.
- Comfortable cold calling and using the phone as a primary channel.
- Ability to confidently engage senior stakeholders and build trust quickly.
- Thrives in a startup environment: comfortable with ambiguity, moves fast, and turns loose direction into clear execution.
- Entrepreneurial, builder mindset: proactively improves plays, messaging, and process; seeks and applies feedback quickly.
- Strong time management and ability to balance multiple priorities and challenging targets.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in sales/business development, or finance, consulting, or a related analytical field.
- Experience engaging technical audiences.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Linked In, Outreach, Apollo, Google Workspace.
- Located in Austin, Texas (hybrid, in‑office approximately 1–2 days per week).
Tiger Data offers a compensation package that includes base salary, variable, equity, and comprehensive benefits to all full‑time employees. The estimated on‑target earnings for this role for Austin, TX based employees is $80,000 – $90,000 OTE ($55,000 – $63,000 base + variable).
