Job Location: On‑site, one location
Compensation: $10.00 – $12.50 per hour
Responsible for all aspects of leasing production at the property. This position handles selling and customer service activities, including generating and handling traffic, leasing apartments, preparing lease documentation, and completing move‑in procedures in accordance with policies and procedures. Leasing Consultants focus on sales and marketing, handle telephone and on‑site traffic, show ready apartments, close leases, qualify prospects, and complete all related paperwork to ensure a timely move‑in.
The role also ensures compliance with all state, federal, and local Fair Housing laws and delivers top‑notch service for residents’ day‑to‑day needs.
Monday to Friday, On‑call, Weekend availability, Summer availability required
Duties & Responsibilities- Ensure individual and group leasing targets are achieved and proactively communicate opportunities or threats to the General Manager.
- Enter all lead information accurately and completely within Entrata.
- Respond quickly and effectively to all rental inquiries online, in person, or over the phone.
- Follow up with all prospects by phone within 24 hours.
- Meet, greet, and provide tours to leasing prospects.
- Maintain an in‑depth understanding of site leasing trends, traffic patterns, and product availability and their relation to sales and closing processes.
- Keep all models, office, clubhouse areas, common areas, and the tour route clean and well‑maintained, notifying the appropriate party of any issues.
- Properly close the leasing process by asking for the sale.
- Participate in marketing and outreach efforts.
- Assist with planning and hosting resident events.
- Manage the community waitlist and communicate changes to prospects.
- Execute all screening procedures correctly.
- Prepare and execute the lease agreement and related move‑in paperwork.
- Collect all funds and move‑in related fees.
- Provide support and assistance to all customer service efforts at the community.
- Write up and file service requests from residents upon receipt.
- Complete other tasks as directed and assigned.
- Effective, competitive, natural sales‑minded individual.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in reading and writing English.
- Computer literacy required.
- Previous leasing and/or sales experience strongly preferred; experience in multifamily housing preferred.
- Experience with property management software such as Entrata preferred.
