Business Development Representative (Founding GTM)

Compensation: $65,000–$150,000 total.

Location:

Austin, TX, US. Full‑time, Sales role.

Experience:

Any (new grads ok). Visa: US citizen/visa only.

About the role

We’re rebuilding the insurance industry from the ground up—and we’re looking for early‑career sales reps who can sell water to a pond. We’re scaling our Startup Insurance product, designed specifically for founders and early‑stage companies. You’ll be talking directly with startup CEOs, operators, and decision‑makers across industries as we push hard to define and dominate this market.

What You’ll Do
  • Make 100+ outbound calls per day to startup founders and operators.
  • Set 15+ qualified meetings per week and join demos with AEs.
  • Own CRM hygiene and next steps until deals are closed.
  • Rewrite, test, and refine scripts in real time, keep what converts, kill what doesn’t.
  • Learn the startup insurance landscape quickly and speak confidently with founders.
  • Work closely with sales leadership to iterate on ICP, messaging, and outreach.

  • Comfortable with rejection, repetition, and pressure.
  • Confident speaking with founders and executives.
  • Self‑motivated and accountable, you don’t need hand‑holding.
  • Excited by building something new rather than being managed at a big company.
Compensation
  • $50-65k base ramp with a $100–140k OTE. (Uncapped commission)
