The mission of our Solutions Engineering team at Gong is to serve as trusted partners, advising on complex workflows and guiding customers toward an AI‑first approach to their go‑to‑market strategy, ultimately helping them achieve their desired business outcomes.
In this high‑impact leadership role, you will build and scale a high‑performing Specialist Solutions Engineering team that accelerates Gong’s revenue growth by delivering expert business acumen and technical knowledge for Gong’s most strategic products, across all sales segments. You will design the Specialist SE team’s strategy and operating model, helping the team drive increased revenue for the company and thought leadership across the go‑to‑market team.
This team also serves as the strategic connective tissue between our Sales and Product organizations. By embedding your team within Product Pods, you will influence the product roadmap while designing the operating model that equips the field to deliver expert technical acumen for our most strategic products.
- Build a customer‑focused, high‑performing team that effectively communicates the business outcomes and value customers can achieve using the Gong platform.
- Recruit, mentor, and empower skilled Solutions Engineers to maximize their potential and contribute effectively to team and company goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration within the broader Solutions Engineering team and establish strong partnerships with Sales counterparts to drive revenue growth.
- Help develop and implement streamlined cross‑functional processes and create impactful collateral to support the team and enhance stakeholder engagement.
- Optimize existing workflows and eliminate bottlenecks by collaborating cross‑functionally with Product Management, Product Marketing, and Enablement teams.
- Be a steward of our company culture and actively enforce our Operating Principles by embodying them in daily practices and team interactions.
- 12+ years of relevant solutions engineering experience, including a proven track record of building and managing high‑performing solutions engineering teams for 6+ years and proven experience as a leader.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a customer‑facing team; including strong people management skills, and a commitment to mentoring, coaching, and employee development.
- Proven experience in building a successful team from the ground up, with a readiness to roll up your sleeves and engage directly on deals, embodying our #no‑royalty leadership principle.
- Expertise in cross‑functional collaboration, including developing processes and getting buy‑in from senior leaders.
- Proven track record driving revenue impact through team strategy, programs, and direct deal support.
- Ability to foster trust and collaboration among team members and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of key personas and workflows within a GTM organization.
