A well-established, global manufacturer of industrial processing equipment is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead growth across a high-potential multi-state territory. This is an outstanding opportunity for a sales leader who enjoys building customer relationships, developing sales talent, and growing market share while representing a respected portfolio of engineered products.
Candidates can reside in Texas:
Austin, Houston or San Antonio.
This role combines strategic territory management with hands‑on business development. You'll be responsible for expanding existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, coaching an Area Sales Manager, and partnering with distributors, OEMs, processors, and manufacturing customers throughout the region.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to increase revenue across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
- Lead, coach, and mentor an Area Sales Manager while driving accountability and performance.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, plastics processors, OEMs, and manufacturing customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
- Conduct customer visits to understand manufacturing processes and recommend equipment solutions.
- Partner with engineering and internal technical teams to develop customized equipment recommendations.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and solution presentations that meet customer requirements while maintaining profitability.
- Manage the sales pipeline through CRM, maintaining accurate forecasts and opportunity tracking.
- Follow projects from initial opportunity through installation and customer acceptance.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer service to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Proven success leading a multi‑state sales territory.
- Experience managing, coaching, or developing sales professionals.
- Strong hunter mentality with a track record of winning new business.
- Experience selling industrial equipment, engineered products, capital equipment, or technical solutions.
- Ability to build relationships with distributors, manufacturing facilities, processors, and end users.
- Strong technical aptitude and consultative selling skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Self‑motivated with strong organizational and territory management skills.
- Plastics processing industry experience.
- Auxiliary equipment sales experience.
- Material handling, process equipment, automation, or industrial manufacturing background.
- Experience utilizing CRM and quoting/configuration software.
- Uncapped quarterly incentive plan
