Job SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned, strategic Account Executive III to join our team in Austin. We connect top engineering and technical talent with growing companies across the United States. This is our senior AE role, built for someone with a proven track record who is ready to spend the majority of their time in front of warm, high-value meetings rather than building pipeline from scratch.
You will focus on landing and expanding large, strategic accounts, often referred to internally as whale hunting, while still owning the full client relationship from first meeting through the first placement and handoff to Account Management.
- Run a majority of your pipeline through warm meetings booked by our SDR team, supplemented by targeted outbound on select strategic accounts
- Identify and pursue large-scale, high-value accounts, building the relationships and business case needed to land them
- Run discovery and follow-up meetings with prospective clients, presenting pricing and establishing undeniable value at an enterprise level
- Secure signed agreements, negotiate complex contract terms, and handle high-stakes objections without flinching
- Lead detailed intake calls to gather precise requirements for technical roles and coordinate seamlessly with our recruiting team
- Own the client relationship through the first placement, then transition the account to our Account Management team for long-term growth
- Serve as a resource for newer AEs on deal strategy and objection handling as needed
- 5+ years of proven experience in consultative B2B sales, ideally within staffing, recruiting, IT, Managed Services, Industrial Equipment, or Commercial Insurance, or a track record of exceptional performance that demonstrates equivalent readiness
- A demonstrated ability to land and grow large, strategic accounts
- The ability to hold your ground in complex, high-dollar negotiations with senior technical and business leaders
- High ownership, strategic thinking, and the ability to build long‑term account plans, not just close individual deals
- A proactive approach where you do not wait for direction but instead actively seek out difficult conversations and drive results
- Base salary: $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
- On-Target Earnings: $150,000 once fully ramped
- Uncapped commission. Top performers earn $200,000 to $300,000+ within 2 to 5 years
