aematic is the optimization and measurement layer for advertising on AI answer‑engines, starting with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. As advertising opens up on AI assistants, advertisers need real tooling to plan, launch, optimize, and measure campaigns on a channel the native consoles barely support. aematic runs the full loop for the advertiser: research the account, plan and launch campaigns, manage bids, and measure outcomes.
We work for the advertiser, not the auction. The product is live with paying customers.
You own new‑business revenue. You will be selling a brand new category to advertisers who already want into AI ad channels but cannot operate them alone. Because the category is new, much of the job is creating urgency and demand rather than displacing a competitor. You will run founder‑supported deals early and help build a repeatable sales motion as the team grows.
Whatyou will do
- Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through close.
- Build and manage a pipeline of advertisers and brands in your target segment.
- Run discovery that ties AI ad spend to the advertiser’s profit, and translate our outcome‑based pricing into clear ROI.
- Partner with account management and marketing to move accounts from signed to live and expanding.
- Feed competitive and product signal back to the team; you are early enough that what you learn shapes the roadmap.
- 4+ years of quota‑carrying B2B sales, ideally in adtech, martech, SaaS, or agency services.
- A track record selling performance media or the tooling and services around it, or deep familiarity with how advertisers buy media.
- Comfort selling a new category with a short reference list; you can create conviction, not just respond to it.
- Strong discovery and deal‑running fundamentals, and the judgment to know when to pull in the founder.
- Bias for speed and ownership in an early‑stage environment.
- Experience with performance media (Google, Meta, Amazon, retail media) or the tooling layer around it.
- Early‑stage startup experience where you built process rather than inherited it.
Advertising on AI answer‑engines is a brand new channel. You are getting in at the start of a category rather than joining an established team.
