Job Description

Position Overview

Manages the commercial sales function. Responsible for ensuring the organization's commercial sales volume and profitability objectives are met. Responsible for generating revenue in commercial sales and key accounts. Responsible for working with the appropriate stakeholders to develop a divisional commercial sales plan, forecasts, and budgets. Provides leadership to managers and/or professional staff. Develops and implements customer growth strategies and sales strategies.

Is accountable for the performance and results. Maintains and develops relationships with potential commercial customers and channel partners. Works collaboratively with VP Commercial Sales, Divisional Vice President, and peer group to define and share best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Manages and directs the commercial sales function.
  • Develops and implements customer growth strategies and sales strategies.
  • Establishes contacts and relationships with potential commercial customer and channel partners.
  • Works with the appropriate stakeholders to develop a divisional sales plan, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Communicates the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Partners with internal departments to ensure the commercial sales team is equipped with the product knowledge, system, and selling-skills.
  • Evaluates staff performance and administers disciplinary actions consistent with company policy.
  • Works collaboratively with VP Commercial Sales, Divisional Vice President, and peer group to define and share best practices.
  • Responsible for analyzing historical data and identifying internal and industry trends that may impact business results.
  • Assists Manager Commercial Sales with complex sales negotiations.
  • May participate in establishing training and commercial sales incentive programs.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university
  • Five (5) years sales management experience in business-to-business sales
  • Prior management/director level experience
  • Proven sales track record in commercial sales
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Seven (7) years management in the service industry preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to execute and create business strategies

Pay Ranges

This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range.

The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Company‑matching 401(k) in addition to other programs and perks.
