Provides interior design advice and product expertise, facilitates tile and stone selection, and supports project development to ensure completion of customer selections and sales.

Logs all client showroom visits, contact information, and detailed preference notes in CMT; communicates with customers and internal team to track leads and secure sales. Reports sales closures monthly.

Prospects new business with an emphasis on Custom Builders and Residential Designers; makes outside sales calls and follows up on leads to grow and drive business.

Maintains showroom samples and merchandising, orders, receives, and maintains models and displays; ships customer examples as needed.

Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers and local vendors; complies with marketing standards for showroom merchandising, new product launches, and drops.

Plans and hosts showroom tours and events for industry trade to drive sales; attends trade events to develop relationships and build brand awareness.

Evening and weekend hours are required.

A four‑year degree in a related field, four years of related experience, or a combination of a two‑year degree with two years of related experience.

Competencies in sales/customer engagement, customer service, design, sketching, blue‑print reading, color coordination, interior design trends, customer buying habits, and creative thinking.

Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize innovative solutions quickly; strong creative and presentation skills.

Computer skills – MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; customer management tools a plus.

Excellent oral, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, management, and external partners.

While performing the duties, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms; may walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May sit, climb, or balance. May lift and move up to 80 pounds.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, wide range of temperatures, and loud noise.
