The Valor Institute promotes our vision of education within our schools and across the country through academic retreats, programs, and events.
Valor Education is seeking a Corporate Partnerships & Sponsor ships Manager to expand and steward relationships with business partners, foundations, and community organizations while also providing operational and systems support to our Campus Giving Coordinator teams. This role will be directly responsible for building, managing, and growing strategic relationships with businesses and organizations that support an institution’s mission through financial support, in‑kind contributions, and collaborative initiatives.
The role blends relationship management, revenue generation, strategy, and execution.
Job Role s and Responsibilities Corporate Partnership Development
- Identify, research, and qualify prospective corporate partners aligned with the organization’s mission and values
- Cultivate relationships with corporate leaders, foundations, and business decision‑makers
- Develop long‑term partnerships rather than one‑time transactions
- Create sponsorship opportunities for events, campaigns, programs, and initiatives
- Set sponsorship levels, pricing, benefits, and ROI propositions
- Actively solicit sponsor ships through meetings, presentations, proposals, and follow‑ups
- Meet or exceed annual sponsorship and partnership revenue goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate partners
- Deliver excellent stewardship through regular communication, updates, and recognition
- Ensure sponsors receive agreed‑upon benefits (branding, visibility, engagement opportunities)
- Build trust to encourage renewals, upgrades, and multi‑year commitments
- Work closely with development, marketing, and events teams to activate sponsor ships
- Coordinate sponsor engagement at events (signage, speaking opportunities, tables, recognition)
- Support major fundraising campaigns where corporate participation is appropriate
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, finance, and leadership teams
- Align sponsorship messaging with brand standards and mission priorities
- Support campus or regional teams with partnership‑related needs
- Track partnerships, sponsorship revenue, deliverables, and renewals in a CRM system
- Generate reports for leadership on pipeline, performance, and ROI
- Maintain accurate documentation, timelines, and data integrity
- Ensure sponsor ships align with ethical standards, legal requirements, and organizational values
- Avoid partnerships that conflict with mission, reputation, or community trust
- Support Campus Giving Coordinators with systems, processes, and reporting
- Maintain records in Donor Perfect, FRU, DtD and other corporate matching systems
- Growing, diversified corporate revenue year over year
- High renewal rates and multi‑year partnerships
- Sponsors who feel valued, engaged, and aligned with the mission
- Clear systems that reduce friction for internal fundraising teams
- Strong reputation with the local business and philanthropic community
