We are looking for a Mule Soft Account Partner to join our growing Professional Services sales team within the Customer Success Group. As an account partner you will act as a trusted advisor to customers, help them realize business value from their Salesforce/Mule Soft investment, and partner with internal teams (sales, product, delivery, legal, etc.) to craft strategic roadmaps.
Your ImpactThe primary metrics for this role are annual bookings of professional services sales and bid margin, aligned with quotas. Your work will directly influence revenue growth and customer success.
To Be Successful InThe Role You
- Complete Mule Soft training and become an expert in our consulting methodologies and practices
- Evangelize Mule Soft’s ability to deliver business outcomes and our delivery methodology to customers
- Drive account planning and formulate a clearly defined roadmap with precursor activities
- Generate pipeline through self‑origination and collaboration across Salesforce License Sales, Delivery, and Customer Success
- Use industry expertise to understand customers’ motivation, business drivers, strategic goals, and desired outcomes
- Engage and present to customers, especially at C‑Level, using a consultative selling approach that positions Salesforce, Mule Soft, and yourself as a long‑term trusted advisor
- Create a compelling vision and communicate our groundbreaking solutions to generate significant business value from the Mule Soft Anypoint Platform
- Develop and lead a territory plan and a tailored account plan for each customer that aligns with their business goals, priorities, and time frames
- Forecast accurately and timely, build a pipeline, and progress opportunities to deliver Mule Soft year‑over‑year revenue growth
- Develop mutually agreed close plans and drive execution to achieve closed bookings aligned or above assigned sales goals/quotas
- Be a recognized role model for collaboration, understanding, and overall business results
- Professional services sales background or blended consultative sales and project delivery experience
- Technical and cognitive ability to scope and strategically plan engagements
- Experience leading customers through a visioning process, assessing business value outcomes, and supporting realization through a structured program
- Present business‑value‑led pitches and negotiate terms aligned with margin targets
- Exercise empowered judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve company goals
- Recognize the importance of timing to close deals and balance drive with responsiveness and trust building
- Experience in the Communication, Media, and Technology (CMT) domain delivering value propositions
- 7+ years of consultative sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding quota
- Experience selling or delivering Professional Services in a similar environment to Salesforce or a Global System Integrator
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain executive (C‑level) relationships as a trusted advisor
- Experience growing accounts with large and complex pursuits ($M+)
- Experience responding to RFIs/RFPs with outstanding functional and technical delivery
- Highly collaborative and thrives in a matrix organizational model
- Committed team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate a fast‑paced sales environment
Compensation includes a base salary range of $89,310 - $119,470 per year. Additional compensation such as bonus, equity, and benefits may be offered.
