HVAC Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell HVAC products and solutions to engineers, contractors, and end users within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, presentations, and follow-ups.
  • Identify project opportunities early in the design phase and influence equipment selection through value engineering and technical expertise.
  • Provide accurate project quotations and proposals in coordination with inside sales and estimating teams.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure technical alignment and competitive positioning.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product portfolio, capabilities, and market differentiators.
  • Track project opportunities and customer interactions in CRM and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and contribute to regional growth strategies.
  • Attend industry events, manufacturer training, and networking functions to strengthen relationships and market presence.
  • Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the commercial HVAC or mechanical industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
