Business Development Sales Manager | Austin, TX | In-Office

Reports To: Vice President of Sales
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Austin, TX (Monday–Friday, In-Office)

Lead an Award-Winning Business Development Team

BBB Heart of Texas is seeking a driven Business Development Sales Manager to lead one of the top-performing Business Development teams in the Better Business Bureau system.

This is a hands-on, player-coach leadership role responsible for leading and developing a team of Business Development Representatives while personally maintaining a monthly goal of 10 approved Accredited Business applications. Working alongside the Vice President of Sales, you'll drive membership growth, retention, and revenue while building a high-performing, accountable team.

Please Note: This is a full-time, in-office leadership position based in Austin, Texas (Monday–Friday). Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives.
  • Personally achieve a monthly goal of 10 approved Accredited Business applications while leading the team's overall performance.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Sales to execute annual sales strategies and achieve sales, retention, and net growth goals.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate team members.
  • Conduct coaching, performance reviews, and accountability conversations.
  • Monitor sales activity, pipeline, forecasts, and productivity metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with BBB policies, accreditation standards, and quality expectations.
  • Complete leadership responsibilities including timesheet approvals, PTO requests, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve organizational performance and customer experience.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sales leadership or management experience leading an inside sales or business development team.
  • Proven success coaching high-performing sales teams and achieving sales goals.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and analytic skills are essential.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office – Excel skills essential.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
