Account Executive

We're looking for a high-performing sales professional to join our partnerships team for the podcast, This Week in Startups .

The position is in person, in Austin or Calgary

• Sell packages that include podcast sponsor ships, branded content, and short-form video clips to SMBs and enterprise clients
• Identify new leads across industries and build strong relationships that convert into long-term partnerships
• Maintain and grow a pipeline of both inbound and self-generated outbound opportunities
• Collaborate with the marketing, production, and content teams to deliver solutions that align with client goals
• Track activity, forecasts, and deal progression in our CRM
• Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets with a strong focus on revenue growth and customer satisfaction

• Minimum five years of B2B sales experience, ideally in media, content, or podcast partnerships
• Proven track record of exceeding quota in a closing role
• Deep understanding of integrated media sales
• A hunter mindset: proactive, curious, and energized by new business development
• A gatherer mindset: skilled in upselling and deepening existing accounts
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to speak fluently with marketers, decision-makers, and C-level execs
• Must be located in Austin or Calgary, and available to work in-person daily
