FASTSIGNS of Greater North Austin is hiring a Sales Manager to lead a team of six to eight outside and inside salespeople across four locations. This is a newly created position reporting to the owner. The four centers are:

• FASTSIGNS of Austin, Burnet Road
• FASTSIGNS of Austin, Anderson Mill
• FASTSIGNS of Leander and Cedar Park
• FASTSIGNS of Georgetown

The role is dedicated management. It does not carry a personal book of business or an individual quota. Performance is measured on team results. Our products are technical and quoted to specification. Industry experience is not required. The ability to learn our product line well enough to coach a salesperson through a quote is.

• Deliver team revenue against goal and report a monthly forecast
• Improve estimate conversion and follow-up discipline across the team
• Set individual goals and activity standards for each salesperson
• Conduct weekly one on one meetings with each salesperson
• Coach in the field through ride alongs and joint calls
• Build and deliver one sales training per month
• Onboard and ramp new salespeople
• Resolve escalated customer issues and reduce rework caused by sales handoff errors
• Ensure order accuracy and complete specifications at handoff to production
• Visit each location weekly, confirming the pickup list is current and the space is presentable
• Provide a written weekly report to the owner

• Set activity standards and individual goals
• Approve discounts within defined limits
• Place a salesperson on a documented performance plan
• Advise on hiring, compensation, and territory structure

• A sales position with a management title. There is no individual book of business
• A path to a larger territory. It is a leadership position
• An office based role. It requires weekly presence at all four locations
• A role in which difficult performance conversations are escalated to the owner

• Direct management of a sales team, with defined reporting lines
• Demonstrated experience coaching salespeople to improved results
• Ability to hold salespeople to clear standards while maintaining the working relationship
• Ability to manage multiple locations and determine weekly coverage
• Willingness to document performance issues and address them early
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Technical, custom, or made to order product experience
• High transaction volume environment with a large number of concurrent open jobs
• Experience building and delivering sales training

• Base salary: $85,000 to $100,000, depending on experience
• Performance bonus tied to team results
