Missionof the Position
The mission of the Business Development Representative is to develop new business growth, strengthen existing client relationships and to pursue consistent, high-volume outbound outreach. This role is responsible for generating qualified appointments for our senior sales team, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date CRM, and collaborating closely with marketing to support campaigns and represent CRTG at networking events and industry functions.
Core Responsibilities Outbound Sales ActivityFulfill 50+ outbound calls per day to a mix of current clients, warm leads, and cold prospects. Secure a minimum of 15 qualified appointments per month with decision makers. Follow up on inbound leads generated from marketing campaigns, direct mailers, website inquiries, and channel/referral partners. Quarterly visits to Apple Stores, as identified in IT Glue, along with monthly calls/outreach to various Apple channels.
Research and identify key players and decision makers within target organizations. Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients through the sales process. Call and confirm upcoming appointments to reduce no-shows, and assist in rescheduling clients who cancel or miss their appointments.
Accurately log all call activity, conversations, and outcomes in Hubspot CRM tool with 100% accuracy. Track and report weekly metrics to management including dials made, conversations with decision makers, "good fits" identified, business review appointments scheduled, and sales proposals scheduled. Update user counts and lead statuses for each company record. Maintain the company's database as a reliable, current source of truth.
Work collaboratively with marketing staff to facilitate and support effective marketing campaigns, including direct mail follow-up, email outreach, and social media engagement. Provide frontline market feedback — what prospects are saying, common objections, and competitive insights — to help refine messaging and targeting. Assist in preparing and sending introductory materials to prospects who have booked consultations.
Networking & EventsAttend local networking events, chamber of commerce meetings, trade shows, conferences, and industry meetups. Represent CRTG professionally and build a personal network of referral sources and sales professionals in the area. Follow up promptly with contacts made at events to convert relationships into pipeline opportunities. Participate in webinars, conference calls, and in-person industry functions as needed. Assist in staffing company events, which may include working the registration desk, product table, or providing customer service support.

Be a careful understudy of the senior sales team — learn all services, price points, and promotions to assist in the sales process. Attend weekly sales and marketing meetings, identifying at least two actionable takeaways from each session and communicating them to your manager (reference the Sales & Marketing Agenda). Set the example for fellow team members and contribute to overall team productivity and culture.
