Wholesale Account Manager - Austin, Texas | Travel required
About the OpportunityA growing, founder-led consumer brand is looking for a Wholesale Account Manager to help scale its fast-growing wholesale channel. This role focuses on building lasting retail partnerships and driving meaningful account growth. As a key member of a lean team, you'll gain hands-on exposure to every part of the business and work directly with company leadership.
What You'll Do- Expand the brand's presence in specialty retail by building strong relationships with current and prospective wholesale accounts.
- Identify, pitch, and secure new retail partners that align with the company's wholesale strategy and brand positioning.
- Lead regular in-store visits and events, advising partners on product presentation and inventory management to maximize sell-through.
- Plan and carry out the field travel needed to develop and support existing and prospective accounts.
- Own regional trade show participation within your territory, from planning through execution, to build visibility and generate sales.
- Track market trends, analyze competitors, and surface product development opportunities to inform strategy.
- Prepare and present quarterly performance recaps and detailed sales reporting with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Take full ownership of wholesale operations, including sales results, account management, customer service, wholesale marketing, and operational processes.
- A strong understanding of the regional market and what resonates with local customers.
- 2+ years of previous sales experience dealing in a wholesale environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
- A proactive approach and a desire to thrive in a small, fast-moving environment.
- A friendly, positive, results-driven attitude.
- Self-motivation and comfort in a commission-heavy, performance-based role with room to create your own wins.
- Ability to safely lift at least 50 pounds.
- Alignment with a culture that values putting people first, following through on commitments, prioritizing mission over ego, making objective decisions, and embracing new approaches.
