The Ready-Mix Concrete & Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, generating sales, and growing market share for ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and related construction materials. This role works closely with contractors, builders, developers, project managers, and internal operations teams to ensure customers receive the right products and reliable service.

REGULAR DUTIES
  • Follow all company safety, environmental, credit, and compliance policies
  • Develop new business and maintain relationships with existing customers.
  • Sell ready-mix concrete, aggregate, and related construction materials.
  • Identify upcoming construction projects and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Prepare quotations, bids, proposals, and pricing for customers.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and material pricing.
  • Work with dispatch, batch plants, quality control, and operations to coordinate customer
    requirements.
  • Review project specifications and recommend appropriate concrete or aggregate
    products.
  • Track orders, deliveries, sales activity, and customer accounts.
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and jobsite meetings.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM/customer records.
  • Collaborate with sales, quality control, accounting, production, and transportation teams.
  • Attend industry events, contractor meetings, trade shows, and networking activities.
  • Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, margin, and customer-retention goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, construction,
    engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in ready-mix concrete, aggregates, construction
    materials, building materials, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and customer needs.
  • Experience working with contractors, concrete contractors, homebuilders, commercial
    developers, or general contractors preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and project requirements is preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently while coordinating with operations and internal
    teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Physical & Work Environment
  • This position typically involves a combination of office, customer, and construction-jobsite
    work. Regular travel throughout the assigned territory is expected. The representative may
    occasionally be exposed to construction-site conditions, including dust, noise, outdoor weather,
    and uneven terrain. Appropriate personal protective equipment may be required when visiting
    jobsites.
