Apex Companies is seeking an Associate Project Manager
- Wetland Scientist to join our growing environmental team in Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional looking to build on their wetland and natural resources experience while gaining exposure to stormwater compliance, permitting, environmental reporting, and project management.

Your Responsibilities as an Associate Project Manager
- Wetland Scientist:
  • Coordinate field activities while maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, scientists, and clients to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct inspections of stormwater control measures at construction sites and commercial facilities to assess compliance with applicable regulations and permits.
  • Conduct wetland delineations in accordance with the current

    S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Wetland Delineation Manual and applicable regional supplements.
  • Perform stream assessments, ordinary high-water mark determinations, and aquatic resource evaluations.
  • Conduct habitat assessments and biological resource surveys as needed.
  • Maintain accurate field records and documentation of environmental investigations.
  • Analyze environmental data and prepare clear, concise technical reports and findings.
  • Support environmental compliance and due diligence projects for public and private sector clients.
  • Develop proposals and manage project budgets under project manager oversight.
  • Actively develop your own career growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience with environmental field sampling, monitoring, and data collection.
  • Experience with wetland delineation and habitat assessments.
  • Strong technical writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform field work on active construction sites and remote locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Knowledge of stormwater permitting and compliance inspections.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS.
