Austin, TX: Armed Protective Security Officer; PSO), DHS​/FPS

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor exterior and community areas on‑premises.
• Control access at entrances and exits, and manage departure of employees and visitors.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Use magnetometers and X‑ray machines effectively.
• Operate two‑way radios clearly and concisely.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Maintain credentials as required by contract.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.

• Minimum two (2) years of security experience.
• Valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong knowledge of the security industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑service driven mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers.

Full and Part‑Time position covering 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, and Weekends.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of college (any field).
• TxDPS Security License (Texas Armed).
• CPR/First Aid certification.

This role reports to the Operations Manager.
