What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at an educational location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with post orders.
Support emergency response activities, assist with de-escalation during tense interactions, and provide visible presence during scheduled events, high-traffic periods, and after-hours operations.

Minimum Requirements:

3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
A handcuffing certification is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
