As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or potential loss prevention concerns to site contacts and local law enforcement when appropriate.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or daily operations while following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
