As a Security Officer Armed Driving Role Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as an armed patrol officer in a driving post, helping to monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, visible presence, and responsive communication. You will support a welcoming environment, assist with security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour
Job Schedule: Monday – Friday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
What You’ll Do:- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report security-related concerns, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible armed presence, following post orders, and completing required reports, logs, and other site‑specific documentation.
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
