Silver Shield Security is now hiring Security Officers for Austin, TX, and neighboring areas. We are a great company to work with and always attempt to promote from within. Our Shifts range from 8-12 hrs per day, with the possibility of Overtime. Pay varies depending on experience:

Starting Pay for No Experience is $14.00 w/raise after 90 days. 1-2 years Experience is $16-18

We are looking for strong, dedicated guards able to provide top-tier protection to our clients. Our security guards maintain the highest professional standards of courtesy, grooming and professionalism while on duty.

We are seeking both commissioned and non-commissioned officers. We ask all applicants to provide your own utility belt, reliable transportation and a working smartphone. If you are commissioned, you must own your own firearm. Good physical health is necessary since many assignments require extensive walking.

All applicants must be US Citizens or otherwise legally allowed to work in the US and over the age of 18. Applicants will be required to pass a drug screening as well as a rigorous background check. The background check will include criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable.

• Work Overnight Shifts & Weekends
• Must Have a Level II Non-Commission Card from the TX DPS PSB or apply within 30 days of hiring
• Must be able to work with Children if the site Requires interactions

Must be able to work with or without reasonable accommodation; the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, writing, occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing for both short and long periods of time, walking, walking up inclines and on uneven terrain, walking for long periods of time, climbing stairs and frequent lifting and/or moving of 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds.
