Automatic Transmission Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Automatic Transmission Service Technician to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE certification. Daily responsibilities include performing repairs on specific orders and diagnosing necessary repairs.

• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional services needed and provide repair time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty according to manufacturer specifications.

• Minimum of 2+ years of Automatic Transmission Technician experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• Level B qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills.
• Dexterity and steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and collaborate with teammates.
• Willingness to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
