We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumber II to join our Service Experts HVAC and Plumbing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading plumbing projects, performing advanced installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner. Identify potential problems to prevent premature or unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems. Replace defective components, repair or replace plumbing fixtures, test joints and pipe systems for leaks, and install pipes and fittings. Inspect high pressure, air, steam, water and gas systems for malfunctions.
- Assemble pipe sections and fittings using appropriate methods and materials. Weld or braze where required; interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams as necessary.
- Locate and mark pipe installations and openings in structures using measuring instruments; cut openings as needed.
- Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances (e.g., dishwashers, water heaters), and fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets); anchor supports and ensure proper alignment.
- Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required specifications using hand or power tools.
- Install underground piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures.
- Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details; plan installation around obstructions and ensure compliance.
- Fill pipes or fixtures with water or air to detect leaks; monitor pressure gauges.
- Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting and installation; ensure proper use of company property and tools.
- Maintain current plumbing licenses as required by regulations.
- Follow standard procedures; manage vehicle stocking and return defective parts; replenish stock as needed.
- Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- Report unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Comply with applicable laws and company safety programs; use PPE as prescribed.
- Operate equipment and participate in safety initiatives and programs.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Plumber or 1-2 years in a plumbing role.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
