Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Commercial Alarm Installer to support large‑scale commercial security installation projects across Austin, TX. This role is ideal for a technician with strong leadership skills, proven programming ability, and the confidence to run crews independently.
You will install, program, test, troubleshoot, and service complex commercial security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms. Work includes major commercial environments such as hospitals, airports, education facilities, and corporate campuses.
Top Required Skills- 2+ years programming commercial alarm systems
- Experience with access control installation
- Experience with alarm installation
- Able to install and service systems independently
- Previous lead/crew leadership experience
- Experience with commercial construction environments
- Install, program, test, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial security systems.
- Work with:
- Video Surveillance (IP & Analog)
- Wireless systems
- Access Control panels
- Intrusion Panels
- Card readers, mag locks, electric strikes, door contacts, motion sensors
- Pre‑wire and install security equipment in commercial structures.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Field Technicians for daily scheduling.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
- Provide system operation training to customers.
- Lead technicians on assigned duties and ensure project standards are met.
- Complete all work on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Stand, walk, sit, climb, crawl, squat, push/pull, and stoop regularly
- Lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Use power tools regularly
- Perform work requiring close, distance, and depth vision
- Hard hat with chin strap
- Safety glasses
- Steel‑toe boots
- Safety vest

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 – $35.00/hr.
