Position Summary
Omega Contractors is hiring Apprentices who want to grow in industrial/commercial electrical. You’ll support journeymen/leadmen while learning to install safely, to spec, and with strong workmanship.
Core Responsibilities- Conduit (½”–2”):
Assist with install; cut/ream/support; basic bending as assigned. - Wire/Cable (22 AWG–4/0 AWG):
Pull, route, dress, label; assist with terminations under supervision

Assist tray install/supports; bonding/grounding as directed. - Supports/Fabrication
:
Build/install basic strut/rod supports under direction. - Material & Tool Readiness
:
Stage materials, keep work area clean, stay ahead of the crew. - Team Execution
:
Take direction, communicate clearly, stay coachable.
- OSHA 10 minimum; PPE; housekeeping; follow site rules.
- Fall protection use as required; able to work at heights.
- Basic LOTO awareness (training/oversight as required).
- Shows up early/ready, dependable attendance.
- Keeps the journeyman moving: tools/material staged, hardware ready, area prepped.
- Learns quickly and asks smart questions at the right time (not mid-critical task).
- Owns mistakes and fixes them—no excuses.
- Learns to install clean: straight runs, consistent strut spacing, proper fasteners.
- Labels correctly, keeps work neat, protects finished work from damage.
- Double-checks counts and parts before leaving the gang box/material area.
- Progression goals (example):
- 30 days: material readiness + basic conduit support + pull assistance
- 60–90 days: basic bending, term assist, tray support, anchor installs
- 6 months: more independent installs, layout assistance, fewer callbacks
- Enrolled in an apprenticeship program (preferred).
- Any industrial/commercial experience (preferred).
- Basic conduit bending exposure (preferred).
- OSHA 10 minimum.
- Operate scissor lifts (or obtain certification).
- Supply basic hand tools and basic power tools appropriate to level.
- Stand/walk long distances; lift/carry materials; work at heights with fall protection.
- Safety first, spec compliant, quality workmanship, reliable attendance, team attitude.
- No-shows, unsafe behavior, constant rework, poor attitude, drama.
- Industrial sites, fast schedules, heights, lifts, PPE, and strict standards.
