Role Purpose

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include, but are not limited to, support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care and timely repairs, all performed safely and in accordance with established procedures and protocols.

What

You Will Be Doing
  • Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain records relating to maintenance.
  • Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Hydrate electric equipment according to the Hydration Schedule.
  • Program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID).
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on equipment.
  • Perform an accident inspection on involved equipment.
Qualifications:

GSE/Diesel Mechanic Level 2
  • Must have 6 months to 2 years of diesel mechanic experience or background.
  • Completed coursework in diesel mechanic.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Must have authorization to work in the USA.
  • Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70 lbs.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • All mechanics may be required to perform duties of other positions as needed for operational requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airport badges.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
