Position: Division 10 Carpenter

Description

Job Summary:

The Division 10 Carpenter is responsible for the installation of specialty building products defined under CSI Division 10 on commercial construction projects. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, coordination with other trades, and the ability to install finished products according to project specifications, safety standards, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install Division 10 specialty items including, but not limited to:
    • Toilet partitions and accessories
    • Lockers and shelving systems
    • Wall protection (corner guards, crash rails)
    • Fire extinguisher cabinets
    • Visual display boards (whiteboards, tack boards)
    • Shades, screens, and projection equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately
  • Coordinate installation activities with other trades to avoid conflicts
  • Verify materials and hardware are correct prior to installation
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with OSHA and site‑specific safety requirements
  • Identify and report field issues, deficiencies, or scope conflicts
  • Ensure quality workmanship and completed installations meet project standards
  • Assist with punch list items and final project closeout as needed

Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of commercial construction or finish carpentry experience (Division 10 experience strongly preferred)
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficient with hand and power tools used in finish carpentry
  • Strong attention to detail and finish quality
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work for an extended period

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
