Description
Job Summary:
The Division 10 Carpenter is responsible for the installation of specialty building products defined under CSI Division 10 on commercial construction projects. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, coordination with other trades, and the ability to install finished products according to project specifications, safety standards, and schedules.
- Install Division 10 specialty items including, but not limited to:
- Toilet partitions and accessories
- Lockers and shelving systems
- Wall protection (corner guards, crash rails)
- Fire extinguisher cabinets
- Visual display boards (whiteboards, tack boards)
- Shades, screens, and projection equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately
- Coordinate installation activities with other trades to avoid conflicts
- Verify materials and hardware are correct prior to installation
- Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with OSHA and site‑specific safety requirements
- Identify and report field issues, deficiencies, or scope conflicts
- Ensure quality workmanship and completed installations meet project standards

Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial construction or finish carpentry experience (Division 10 experience strongly preferred)
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Proficient with hand and power tools used in finish carpentry
- Strong attention to detail and finish quality
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work for an extended period

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
