* A Day in the Life of the Broadband Network Technician Lead:
* Performs all responsibilities listed below independently, assisting department and leadership with the coordination of daily work/preventative maintenance.
* Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference.
* Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage
* Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment
* Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations
* Complete fiber splicing activities in any routine and/or emergency situations independently
* Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs
* Responsible for providing training, guidance, and mentorship to new Broadband Network Technicians
* Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
* Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

* Experience:

2+ years as a maintenance technician
* Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license
* Customer Service
* Communication (verbal, written)
* Basic Computer Skills
* Aptitude to learn to skills
* Problem solving
* Time Management
* Teamwork* Working alone
* Ability to read and interpret maps
* Bucket Certified;
Ohm’s
* Understanding of Outside Plant
* Knowledge of and experience with Hand or Power Tools

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
* Work performed in both climate‐controlled and non‐climate‐controlled environments, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehicles
* Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and driving required
* Ability to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods of time
* Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder level
* Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions and perform fine motor tasks, forceful gripping, and limited keyboarding
