Description
Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable including single mode, multi‑mode, stranded and ribbon. Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues. Review, interpret, and work with various maps, drawings and blueprints and testing documents. Perform daily tests, checks and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment. Perform optical continuity and conformance testing. Make splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in buried, underground, aerial and building work locations.

Need to be reliable, willing to work with others. This is hard work but great opportunity to grow in the data center industry. Tasks include installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure; performing maintenance on existing cabling systems; testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications; identifying and removing redundant cabling; installing televisions, routers, and internet technology devices; troubleshooting issues with the cable network;
installing cable support structures such as J‑hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
