First year Roto-Rooter drain service technicians can expect top-pay, with pay increases as experience grows.

The average earnings for this position at our Austin, Texas branch is between $60,000-$80,000 a year. Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus ongoing training to pursue a journeyman plumber’s license.

• Provide solutions to sewer and drain problems on service calls using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools.
• Diagnose problems and provide cost estimates to close the sale.
• unclog and clean sewers and drains for customers.
• Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and proceed to the next service call.

• A valid driver’s license.
• Effective communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior experience is not necessary.
