Location:
Austin, Texas, United States of America.
Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water‑based systems in accordance with all national and local standards. Provide hands‑on training and coaching to entry‑level inspectors.
Responsibilities- Inspect, test, and service wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow prev enters; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam‑based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.
- Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.
- Provide subject matter expertise to peers.
- Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions.
- Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites.
- Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types.
- Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site.
- Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.
Basic Qualifications:
- NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water‑Based Systems Level II or state certification.
- On‑the‑job experience with reading and understanding design and construction documents.
- Estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs.
- 3+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
- Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- 18 years of age, valid driver's license with limited violations; eligibility to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Must already have the RME‑I license and Backflow TCEQ license.
- Willingness to travel within the region coverage from San Marcos to Waco, TX. Overnight stay may be required.
- Basic computer aptitude.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and be available for on‑call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state‑recognized GED.
- 5+ years of experience performing ITM of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Obtain NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water‑Based Systems Level III or state certification within 12 months.
- Additional license: FEL‑B and/or FAL.
Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits. Pay range: $49,980 – $85,680 annually, subject to budget and candidate experience.
