Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Electrician/ Electrician Installation
Position Summary
As an Industrial Electrician, you will lead the commissioning of new electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with NEC, SAS, and other industry standards. You will perform energised electrical work, QA/QC checks, preventive maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting on relay controls, panels, and motor‑control centres (24
VDC–12.5kVAC) to reduce MTTR and improve equipment effectiveness. You will develop policies, SOPs, coordinate installation timelines with contractors, manage CMMS tracking, and train technicians.
- Lead commissioning of new electrical equipment.
- Verify installations meet NEC, SAS, and industry specifications.
- Complete QA/QC checks on schedule to ensure safe, reliable integration.
- Perform preventive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting on relay controls, electrical panels, and motor‑control centres.
- Create and author comprehensive policies, SOPs, and operational guidelines.
- Support installation schedules, coordinate with contractors, and track progress via CMMS.
- Maintain retrofits, upgrades, and new builds on‑budget and on‑time.
- Train technicians and collaborate with engineers, management, and customers on newly installed infrastructure.
- Use CMMS for maintenance tracking and inventory control by logging repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Enable data‑driven decision‑making to support the FABs reliability targets.
- Journeyman or master electrician license (TDLR).
- 2+ years working with electrical systems, motor‑control circuits, or automation equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school diploma, associate degree, or industrial maintenance background strongly preferred.
- Proven NEC expertise through maintenance or electrical projects.
- Proficiency in navigating a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Hands‑on electrical skills: wiring, relay controls, and motor‑control centres, energised electrical work.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a track record of diagnosing and resolving complex electrical/automation issues with minimal downtime.
Base salary range: $20.50 – $46.00 per hour. Total compensation may include a competitive benefits package and participation in incentive compensation programs based on performance.
