Genset Field Technicians - Austin, TX

K&R Operating is seeking Genset Field Technicians to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing power generation systems both in the shop and at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with diesel and natural gas generators, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

• High school diploma or GED
• Ten to fifteen years of experience with diesel and natural gas engine-driven generators
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment repair
• Proficient in compressor and engine maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical control problems
• Full set of hand tools as defined by company standards
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to travel
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Experience on Cummins, CAT, and MTU generators
• Formal vocational training
