As a Senior Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will:
- Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre‑action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow prev enters; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam‑based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.
- Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.
- Provide subject matter expertise to peers.
- Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions.
- Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites.
- Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types.
- Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site.
- Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.
- NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems Level II or state certification.
- On‑the‑job experience with reading and understanding design and construction documents.
- Estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs.
- 3+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Must be able and willing to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
- Must be able and willing to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Must already have the RME‑I license and Backflow TCEQ license.
- Must be willing to travel within the region coverage from San Marcos to Waco, TX. Overnight stay may be required.
- Basic computer aptitude.
- Must be flexible to work nights and weekends, as needed, and available for on‑call rotation.
- High school diploma or state‑recognized GED.
- 5+ years of experience performing ITM of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
- Obtain NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems Level III or state certification within 12 months.
- Additional license: FEL‑B and/or FAL.
