Low Voltage Technician

What You'll Do

• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, speaker wire, HDMI)
• Install commercial AV systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, and conference room equipment
• Install and wire access control devices, including card readers, electric strikes, mag locks, and door hardware
• Install and configure IP cameras and CCTV systems
• Install equipment racks, panels, and low-voltage devices
• Program, commission, test, and troubleshoot AV and/or security systems
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and low-voltage drawings
• Ensure all installations meet customer and industry standards

• 2+ years of commercial low-voltage experience
• 18 years or older
• Background in commercial AV, conference rooms/boardrooms, sound masking, access control, or CCTV/IP cameras
• Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Lenel, Genetec, Brivo, or Axis
• Experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting systems
• Comfortable reading blueprints and wiring schematics
• Reliable transportation
• Commercial construction experience preferred
