Field Service Technician - Refrigeration

Austin Industrial Refrigeration is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our commercial refrigeration service team. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade while working alongside experienced technicians.

We service commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, reach-in refrigerators, beverage equipment, and other food service refrigeration systems.

What You'll Do

• Assist service technicians on commercial refrigeration jobs
• Help load, unload, and organize tools, parts, and equipment
• Clean condensers and perform basic preventive maintenance
• Learn troubleshooting and repair procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently

What We're Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience using hand tools
• Dependable with a good work ethic
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
• Able to lift 75 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and in hot or cold environments
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
• High school diploma or GED preferred

No refrigeration experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who has the desire to learn a skilled trade.

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction, automotive, HVAC, maintenance, or other mechanical experience
• EPA Section 608 certification is a plus but not required
