Job Overview
As a Maintenance Technician at CWS, you will ensure our residential communities operate safely and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and team members.
Responsibilities- Prepare apartments for move‑in and move‑out, ensuring they are clean and ready
- Complete service requests, performing work in apartments, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC
- Maintain common areas, including cleaning and minor repairs
- Maintain inventory and shop organization
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs
- Participate in resident satisfaction programs and communicate regularly with residents, vendors, and leadership
- Handle CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs procedures
- Respond to emergency calls outside normal business hours and travel within the metropolitan area as required
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of apartment maintenance or related trade experience (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC)
- Relevant certifications: EPA, HVAC I & II, CPO (required)
- Valid driver’s license with current automobile insurance (required)
- Basic set of hand tools
- Strong English reading and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and emergencies
- Ability to work at sites other than main property and to travel for company events
- Professional, ethical conduct and strong working relationships
Frequent physical activity including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Must lift, carry, push, or pull tools, appliances, or equipment up to 50 pounds, and work in varied weather conditions and with chemicals and power tools.
Work EnvironmentWork is performed across residential apartment communities, including occupied units, vacant units, exterior grounds, and maintenance areas. Exposures include varying temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, power tools, and moving mechanical equipment.
