Commercial HVAC Apprentice Service Technician – Union

About this role:

You will be a Commercial HVAC Apprentice Service Technician, solving problems in the field with access to world-class training and tools, while delivering solutions customers can count on. This role emphasizes hands-on HVAC service, safety, and continuous learning.

• Inspect and maintain air-conditioning and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units.
• Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines.
• Service rooftop units, gas packs, heat pumps, split systems, and related controls.
• Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems.
• Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design.
• Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations by maintaining detailed maintenance records.
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards.

• High School Diploma/GED
• EPA Universal Certification
• Ability to Push/Pull/Lift 50 lbs
• Standing, crawling, sitting, squatting for extended periods; ability to climb a ladder and work on rooftops
• Valid Driver’s License and insurability by the company’s insurer

• Basic understanding of building automation controls
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using Salesforce and Service Max (a plus)

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $30.00 per hour. Pay within this range is affected by skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
